We’ve done a major upgrade to our Analytics feature which is now more in-depth and comprehensive than ever before! Whether you're tracking performance metrics or analyzing viewer engagement, you’ll find everything you need directly within our platform—without the hassle of integrating any third-party tools.

Here’s a breakdown of the powerful new features we've added to help you make the most of your video data.

What’s new in Analytics?

1. More data dimensions for detailed insights

We’ve expanded our data dimensions to give you a clearer, deeper understanding of your video metrics. In addition to the current metrics, you can now view more dimensions as follows:

  • Views – By looking at ‘views’, you can keep track of your viewer growth over time with ease. Views allows you to see the total number of people who have viewed your video, both unique and non-unique. You can also count the following under views:

->Unique Views: Where you get unique number of views for a video. That is, a single viewer watching a video multiple times is counted as one unique viewer.

->View Duration: Where you can filter the duration of a view, that is, you can set how many seconds a view has to last to be counted in Analytics data.

  • Concurrent Viewer (CCV) – For those running live streams, this is a game-changer! By looking at concurrent viewers, you can now view the number of people actively watching a stream/video. CCV can be futher classified as:

->Peak CCV – See the highest number of concurrent viewers at one specific time.

->Average CCV – Track the average number of concurrent viewers throughout the stream.

->Live CCV – Monitor how many people are tuned in at any given moment.

  • Referrer – With Referrer, you can find out exactly where your video traffic is coming from. The 'Referrer' dimension helps you understand which sources and regions are driving the most views, based on IP address and browser details.

2. Extended retention periods

We understand the value of keeping data for long-term analysis. With this update, you can choose between 3-month and 12-month retention periods for your data, allowing for more flexible tracking and trend analysis over time.

With this upgrade, Analytics is stronger than ever!

These new additions make it easier than ever to monitor performance, improve audience engagement, and make informed decisions—all without leaving the api.video platform. The result? An analytics experience that’s built right into your workflow, delivering all the metrics without any extra development needed.
