Pricing as unique as your videos

Yes. Once you create your account, you can access our sandbox environment and all the features to make unlimited tests. The video content you create will be limited to 30 seconds, watermarked with api.video’s logo, and automatically deleted after 24 hours. To access a Production environment, and remove these restrictions, you can always upgrade to a paid model through your dashboard.

We charge only for two types of usage:

• Hosting Minutes: the total duration of content stored during a monthly period. This applies to all videos, including any recorded live streams. Any deletion of the content will be reflected in the following month. Example: On Jan 15th, you uploaded a video of 10 minutes, and on Jan 30th you deleted this video. In your January bill you will have a hosting of 10 minutes, while in your February bill you will have a hosting of 0 minutes.
• Delivery Minutes: the total duration of the video or streaming that has loaded and is available for viewing by a viewer. Applicable to both Videos and live videos. Example: If a 10 minute long video is watched from start to end (100%) by 500 viewers, your delivery minutes will be 5,000 minutes (= 10 minutes * 500 views * 100%). If that same video was only watched half way during its duration your delivery minutes would be 2,500 minutes (=10 minutes * 500 views * 50%). You can always view your up-to-date usage in your dashboard, to help you track your consumption and how many minutes you have used for the month.

Encoding is at the heart of what we do. We ingest your videos and encode them into multiple qualities to ensure that your viewers will always experience the best viewing quality. Technically encoding is quite a complex and resource demanding activity therefore quite expensive to offer. Since we have our own video and streaming dedicated infrastructure, we are in a position to optimize the use of our resources and transfer these cost savings to you. No. Even if your content is encoded into 6 qualities to offer the best viewing experience to your viewers, you will only pay for the minutes delivered irrelevant of their quality or codec.

Yes. Whether your procurement process requires a Quote to issue Purchase Orders or a Master Service Agreement with specific terms, SLAs or payment terms, or you simply need a Certificate of Incorporation, we can work with you on enterprise agreements of all types.

On the first day of every month, you will receive your bill, including your usage from the prior month. For example, on February 1st you will receive the invoice for any usage you consumed in the month of January. If you subscribe to any Add-ons for the first time, a prorated invoice will be issued momentarily and appear in your Dashboard. All following Add-ons’ invoices will be issued on the 1st of each month.

All pricing displayed is in US Dollar (USD). We support both USD and EUR currencies. If you are located in the European Union zone, you will be billed in EUR; for all other countries you will be billed in USD.

Tax is not included in the prices. If applicable, tax will be added to your invoices.

In your dashboard, you can access all your billing information, including your Payment Method. Note, only account owners will be able to view and update the payment information.
